I’m going to start out this post by saying that I have the memory of a dead goldfish.
Now that we’ve established that, I’m going to show you a project that I finished at least two weeks ago (and completely forgot about). Yep. I finished the baby booties!
By the way, the baby in the photo is my sister Tabitha, who, as you can probably tell, really wanted to play with, and not wear, the bootie. There was no way I would’ve been able to get the second one on her without a fight! ;P
I also finished an adorable bunny hat! IT’S JUST SO CUTE!! *squee*
Another project that I completed was this HUGE throw! I tried to get a photo of the whole thing, but I’m a little bit too short for that. 😉
Next up is this lovely little headband! You can’t tell from the picture, but the purple yarn is sparkly!
I finished this hat a while back as well. I used a slip stitch pattern, which gives it that nice diamond pattern.
This hat, I finished yesterday. 😀 I just love all of the little stripes across the brim! And the pompom makes it look FABULOUS!
I normally dislike all creatures of the deep, dark, ocean, but this little hat was just too adorable to pass up! IT’S EVEN GOT LITTLE BABY SHARK FINS!
These past two weeks have been filled with crafting! Seriously, if someone had taken a picture of me at any given point in the day, I probably would’ve looked like this.
“We must weave in ALL of the ends, preciousss.”
Before I get too distracted by photos of Gollum in a pink tutu (can you say HOT?!? Lol. No.), here are my finished projects:
First and foremost is this fabulously soft chevron scarf. Oh, yes. It’s made out of Yarn Bee Effervesce, and is awesomely warm.
Next, is headband #1. The body was knitted out of I Love This Yarn!, while the flower was crocheted using Crafter’s Secret.
Headband #2 is crocheted completely using Red Heart Super Saver. It’s so cute!
Headband #3 was made using Red Heart Super Saver, and I’ve got to say, despite my never having made a flower with that many petals previously, it turned out beautifully.
This headband is super cool! It’s amazingly soft, and so squishy! Plus, it kind of looks like a turban, for all of you fans of Professor Quirrell.
Next, is a reversible hat made out of I Love This Wool!. You know what the crazy thing is? I love this wool.
And, here is the reverse side of the hat! I’m not sure, but I think I like this side better than the other, although the twisted rib on the other side is still awesome!
I whipped up this crocheted scarf in a day! (That’s probably, like, a world record.) Of course, I may or may not have stayed up ridiculously late trying to finish it, but whatevs.
DO YOU PEOPLE RECOGNIZE THIS?!? This mesh scarf took me forever to finish. BUT I SURVIVED. And it’s so cuddly and squishy!
By the way, I didn’t originally plan for the chickens to be in the photo, but they all decided that that tree was the place to be. 😉
As I was posting on my other blog, I realized that I forgot to mention one more project… I finished crocheting a little dog sweater!
I DID IT, YOU GUYS! I finished my soft bunny blanket! This thing is awesome!
IT’S SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE!!!
I made it in about three weeks, and I’ve got to say, that’s a record. I’m never going to do that again.
Eh, who am I kidding? I’ll completely do that again. 😉
Alright, guys. Prepare for a majorly long blog post!
Seriously, set aside, like, ten minutes to read this. 😛
Okay… Now that you’re prepared… Here’s what I’m working on…
Project number one is a ridiculously soft throw. It feels like you’re holding a bunny tail against your face. Now that I’ve written it, I realize that’s a weird description, but I’m gonna roll with it anyway.
Project number TWO is a mesh sparkly scarf that doesn’t like me enough to photograph well. Judging from its width, it’s probably going to be huge…LY AWESOME!
Project *whispers* hashtag three is a baby bootie in fingering weight yarn. It’s so cute! Plus, the ribbing on the leg makes it super stretchy, so it’ll fit even the chubbiest of cherubs!
Project death(4, har de har har) is a pair of socks that I’m probably not going to be able to complete before the booth. The fabulous watermelon colorway has nothing to do with McDonald’s, but still I’m lovin’ it. 😉
This bad boy (project number five, for you awesome people who are still bothering to keep up) is the only crocheted project I’m working on right now. “HOW DO I ONLY HAVE ONE CROCHETED PROJECT?” could be my biography. ;P
Below is a closer look at the offset ribbing, since you can’t really tell from the first photo.
And… The one you’ve been waiting for… MY FINAL PROJECT (for now)!!!
I’m knitting a fingering weight shawl out of hand dyed yarn, and I’ve gotta say, this is beautiful. It’s soft; it’s squishy; it’s awesome.
“But, what’s this? Some more yarn?” you say.
Why, yes, dear friend. It is. But this is not just any yarn. Oh, no. THIS YARN is going to be made into something SO AWESOME that I’m not going to tell you what it will be.
You’re going to have to guess. 3:-)
